What you get

  • A portable folder you can put anywhere. On macOS it arrives as a CavaPdf.app you drag into Applications.
  • Nothing is installed system-wide — no installer and no admin rights.
  • No background service and no auto-updater. The app runs when you open it, and stops when you close it.
  • Your index and settings live in your own user data folder.
